Detecting Register Marks Using Semi-Automatic Detection
If TP1 cannot be placed at the full-automatic register mark detection position or if register marks cannot be detected using full-automatic detection, detect register marks manually.
Detection procedure using front specification
- Load the sheet, then pull the clamp lever toward you.
- The sheet is held by the pinch rollers.
- Press to start sheet detection. (Load from rear)
- If [ROLL. SELECT] is set to [ON], select the number of pinch rollers to be used. Setting the Number of Pinch Rollers to Use

- Use to move the LED pointer close to the center of the register mark detection position, as shown in the following figure.
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.
- The scale compensation setting screen appears.
- Use to set the scale correction value.
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key to proceed to the next scale compensation setting.

- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [2ptB], the screen for entering distance A does not appear.
- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [1pt], the origin is displayed, and the scale compensation screen does not appear. (Step 7)
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key after setting.
- Register mark detection starts as set using [MARK DETECT].

- Once the register marks have been detected, set using the scale compensation setting screen.
- The following example shows the procedure for four-point detection.
- Set using if the detected register mark distances differ from the measured values.
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key to proceed to the next scale compensation setting.
- If [DIST.REVI.] is set to [OFF], the screen for setting scale compensation does not appear.
