Detecting Register Marks Using Full-Automatic Detection
The distance between register marks detected by the plotter is adjusted against the distance between the register marks printed on the sheet.
First, measure the distances (A and B) between the register marks in the data.
Measure between the register mark center points.
Detection procedure using front specification
The sheet must be loaded from the rear.
- Measure the distances A and B on the data to be output.
- Position TP1 as shown in the following figure.
- Use Detecting Register Marks Using Semi-Automatic Detection if TP1 is not positioned as shown in the following figure.
- Pull the clamp lever toward you while ensuring that the sheet does not move.
- The sheet is held by the pinch rollers.
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.
- If [ROLL. SELECT] is set to [ON], select the number of pinch rollers to be used. Setting the Number of Pinch Rollers to Use
- Set using .
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key to proceed to the next scale compensation setting.
- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [2ptA], the screen for entering distance B does not appear.
- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [2ptB], the screen for entering distance A does not appear.
- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [1pt], the origin is displayed, and the scale compensation screen does not appear. (Step 7)
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key after setting.
- Register mark detection starts.
- [ERROR C36 MARKdetect] appears on the display if no register marks can be detected.
If this occurs, reload the sheet.
- For more information on the number of register marks detected, refer to "Register mark detection points setting" (Register mark detection points setting [MARK DETECT]).
- Display the origin.
- The available cutting area is displayed following register mark detection, before switching to local mode.
Detection procedure using rear specification
The sheet must be loaded from the rear.
- Perform steps 1 to 3 of "Detection procedure using front specification" (Detection procedure using front specification).
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.
- Only the sheet width is detected, after which register mark detection starts.
- If [ROLL. SELECT] is set to [ON], select the number of pinch rollers to be used. Setting the Number of Pinch Rollers to Use
- [ERROR C36 MARKdetect] appears on the display if no register marks can be detected.
If this occurs, reload the sheet.
- Once the register marks have been detected, set using the scale compensation setting screen.
- The following example shows the procedure for four-point detection.
- Set using if the detected register mark distances differ from the measured values.
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key to proceed to the next scale compensation setting.
- If [DIST.REVI.] is set to [OFF], the screen for setting scale compensation does not appear.
- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [2ptA], the screen for entering distance B does not appear.
- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [2ptB], the screen for entering distance A does not appear.
- If [MARK DETECT] is set to [1pt], the scale compensation screen does not appear. Proceed to Step 4, and set the origin.
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key after setting.
- Set the origin.
- The available cutting area is displayed before switching to local mode.
